Where to start reading Black Panther comics

Ta-Nehisi Coates is a very respected writer for The Atlantic who has made his comics debut with the 2016 Black Panther series, which is still ongoing. Personally, I've had trouble following the story, or getting a lot out of it. However it is very Wakanda focused which is great, and you can definitely feel Coates love of literature in his writing.

In recent Marvel history, Black Panther has not had many other books which focus only on him and his country, but he is a major figure in almost all the events of the Marvel universe. The events of Avengers vs. X-Men are a big part of his character and he's a major player in Hickman's Avengers and New Avengers series. The first volume of New Avengers is below, and I've posted a complete order for Avengers and New Avengers on my Secret Wars article.
