Jessica Jones was created 2001, as the first series to be published under the 'Max' label, a line of R-rated comic books which were not publishable under normal Marvel guidelines. This is a heavy, R-rated noir book, so expect something a little more mature than even the Netflix series. It's an amazing read though, and one fastest series I've ever read start-to-finish because I was so enthralled.
